Tru by Hilton is the hotelier’s modern, funky response to Marriott’s Moxy brand. The latest location is now open near Brooklyn’s hip Park Slope neighborhood.

Tru by Hilton Brooklyn has 101 rooms and is a budget-friendly hotel with simple, modern designs and amenities that appeal to both business and leisure travelers. All rooms feature premium bedding, large TVs, walk-in showers, storage space, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

All guests receive access to the complimentary Top It breakfast bar, which features a range of toppings for pancakes, bagels, oatmeal, and more. The hotel also offers a 24/7 market that sells snacks, beverages, and travel essentials. Other amenities include a fitness center, business center, and parking (a rarity in New York City).

Andrew Harp, Brand Leader of Tru by Hilton, said:

We are thrilled to introduce the Tru by Hilton brand to New York City, and provide travelers with a fun and modern lodging option in one of Brooklyn’s most exciting destinations. With our contemporary design, convenient amenities, and prime location, we look forward to welcoming guests and helping them discover all that this vibrant neighborhood has to offer.”

Anthony’s Take: I am finding myself too old for Moxy Hotels and I think Tru by Hilton is not really intended for me either. It looks cool and the footprint is growing quickly. This will certainly appeal to younger, budget-minded travelers.

The hotel is located at 529 President St, Brooklyn, NY 11215. It’s a weird/changing area to me but Dinosaur Bar-B-Que which is 4 minutes away is a pretty decent spot.
