Starbucks® announced in December that it was making changes to the Starbucks® Rewards program on February 13th. The changes represent a pretty decent increase in stars required. You have until this coming Monday to redeem at the current levels.

Here are the new redemption options:

Starbucks Rewards

I earn about one free drink a week at the current levels. With the devaluation, I’ll no longer be able to redeem 150 stars for my iced latte. It will cost 33% more for the same drink. This won’t change my loyalty as I still head there daily.

Anthony’s Take: If you want to redeem at the current levels, head to Starbucks® before the 13th. Just like airline and hotel loyalty programs, devaluations are almost always a given. I can’t fault Starbucks® for making these changes.
