American Airlines Adds Flights for Super Bowl LVIII

American Airlines is beefing up its schedule ahead of Super Bowl LVIII in February. The Dallas-based carrier is adding flights between February 8th and 12th. This is the first Super Bowl held in the Las Vegas area and fans are looking to do it up right.

Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) service will include:

  • Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) (2x inbound on February 8th, 2x inbound on February 9th, 2x outbound on February 12th)
  • Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) (8x inbound on February 8th, 8x inbound on February 9th, 6x inbound on February 10th, 2x outbound on February 11th, 8x outbound on February 12th)
  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) (5x inbound on February 8th, 5x inbound on February 9th, 2x inbound on February 10th, 1x outbound on February 11th, 4x outbound on February 12th)
  • Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) (14x inbound on February 8th, 14x inbound on February 9th, 8x inbound on February 10th, 2x outbound on February 11th, 15x outbound on February 12th)
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) (5x inbound on February 8th, 5x inbound on February 9th, 2x inbound on February 10th, 1x outbound on February 11th, 7x outbound on February 12th)

On peak days, American will offer more than 150 lie-flat seats to and from Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). Flights from New York will be on the Airbus A321T aircraft, which features 10 lie-flat Flagship© First and 20 lie-flat Flagship© Business seats.

Anthony’s Take: American is the first to highlight its Super Bowl flights. I’m sure we’ll see similar announcements from Delta and United around increased frequencies from those airlines’ respective hubs.
