SkyTeam airline, Aeromexico, is adding daily flights between Mexico City International Airport (MEX) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) on March 30th. This is the carrier’s 23rd US city served and a returning destination for Aeromexico.

Aeromexico will fly this route with a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. This includes 16 Business Class, 18 AM Plus, and 150 Economy Class seats. American Airlines currently flies this route. With the return of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), Aeromexico will serve the following US cities:

  • Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)
  • Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
  • Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
  • Denver International Airport (DEN)
  • Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT)
  • Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
  • Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
  • McAllen International Airport (MFE)
  • Miami International Airport (MIA)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) (begins on October 27th)
  • New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO)
  • Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)

  • San Antonio International Airport (SAT)
  • San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
  • Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

Anthony’s Take: Aeromexico continues to expand in the US. After it regained its Category 1 status withe the FAA last year. I’m going to try to take one of the newish flights from Tampa International Airport (TPA) this winter.
