Delta Air Lines is giving SkyMiles® members new ways to redeem their miles beyond flights. The airline just unveiled a series of exclusive entertainment and sports experiences tied to live music and the upcoming World Cup.

Among the newest additions is “The Rolling Stone Residency,” a six-show series of intimate performances hosted at Cherry Lane Theatre (one of Manhattan’s most historic venues) The residency opens June 11th with a performance by Sara Bareilles and demand is already proving intense. Delta said ticket packages for American Express Delta SkyMiles cardholders sold out within minutes after release. Packages for general SkyMiles members become available tomorrow, May 21st through Delta SkyMiles Experiences.

Cherry Lane Theatre

Card members attending the residency will receive VIP perks including early venue access and a pre-show dinner at Wild Cherry, one of the city’s most in-demand dining reservations according to The New York Times.

FOX Sports Studio

Delta is also expanding into sports entertainment through its recently announced partnership with FOX One, offering SkyMiles® members new World Cup-themed redemption opportunities. For a limited time, members can redeem 15,000 SkyMiles® for a six-month FOX One subscription. It provides streaming access to World Cup coverage through FOX’ official platform. The offer will remain available through mid-July. In addition, members can bid SkyMiles® for a behind-the-scenes experience at FOX’ Los Angeles studio during World Cup coverage. The package includes access to production areas, a meet-and-greet with on-air talent, and a $1,000 Delta gift card to help cover travel expenses. Bidding for the experience closes June 2nd.

The latest additions reflect Delta’s broader strategy of transforming SkyMiles® into a lifestyle-focused loyalty program that extends beyond traditional travel rewards. By tying experiences to entertainment, sports, and exclusive events, the airline is increasingly positioning miles as currency for access-driven experiences rather than simply airfare.

Anthony’s Take: As competition among airline loyalty programs intensifies, Delta’s move highlights how carriers are leaning into experiential rewards to attract younger travelers and frequent flyers seeking unique, high-demand opportunities.
