Singapore Airlines is expanding its European network with increased frequencies to key cities and the launch of a new route to Spain.
The airline will introduce 5x weekly service between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) via Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) starting October 26th. The route will be operated using the Airbus A350-900 with 42 Business, 24 Premium Economy, and 187 Economy Class seats. Madrid becomes Singapore Airlines’ 15th European destination and its second in Spain.
Singapore Airlines is also boosting service on several existing European routes:
- Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) to/from London Gatwick Airport (LGW) will increase from 3x weekly flights to daily service starting on October 25th
- Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) to/from Manchester Airport (MAN) will increase from 5x weekly flights to daily service starting on July 13th
- Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) to/from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) will increase from 4x weekly flights to daily service starting on October 25th
A new 3x weekly service between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and Munich Airport (MUC) will launch on October 26th to bring total weekly flights to/from the German city to 10x
As part of the network restructuring, the current Singapore to Milan to Barcelona service will be discontinued following the launch of the new Madrid route.
The expanded schedule is designed to meet strong demand for both business and leisure travel while improving connections through Singapore Airlines’ hub. With these changes, the airline will operate 2x daily flights to London Gatwick Airport (LGW) and a total of 6x daily flights to London when combined with its services to London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
Madrid’s addition highlights Singapore Airlines’ continued focus on high-demand European markets. The Spanish capital offers strong appeal as both a cultural destination and a major financial hub, with connections to Latin America and beyond.
