Delta Unveils Next-Generation Delta One® Suites

Delta Air Lines is making a big leap forward in its premium travel offering and today announced the debut of its next-generation Delta One® suite on new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft (while expanding its suite offering to the Airbus A330-200/300 fleet). The move reinforces Delta’s position as the US airline with the most Business Class suites and reflects a broader investment of more than $1 billion in fleet upgrades.

The new Delta One® suite is the result of a two-year design process informed by a decade of customer and employee insights. It will first appear on the Airbus A350-1000, Delta’s newest and largest aircraft, which is set to arrive in early 2027 with a 50% premium seating mix. At the same time, Delta will introduce suites with privacy doors for the first time on its A330-200/300 fleet as part of a comprehensive interior refresh.

Across both aircraft types, every seat in every cabin will feature Delta’s largest seatback screens ever. Additional upgrades include Bluetooth connectivity, USB-C and universal AC power outlets, and enhanced comfort through memory foam cushions. These enhancements build on Delta’s modern onboard design introduced in early 2025, which has already driven a 25-point increase in customer satisfaction. The airline expects more than 800 aircraft to feature the new interiors within the next five years.

Delta was the first US carrier to introduce the all-suite Business Class cabin in 2017. Today, it continues to lead the industry and anticipates that 90% of Delta One® seats will feature sliding privacy doors by 2030. The next-generation Delta One® suite is designed to deliver a highly personalized experience. Each suite offers a flat-bed seat extending over six and a half feet, enhanced by a plush pillow-top layer.

Thoughtful storage solutions include dedicated spaces for shoes, phones, and eyewear. A 24-inch 4K screen, the largest Delta has ever offered, anchors the in-flight entertainment experience (supported by Bluetooth audio and wireless charging).

A new self-service refreshment station will also debut, providing Delta One® customers with always-available snacks and beverages. The Airbus A350-1000 suites are arranged in a reverse-herringbone layout for added privacy and space with middle seats featuring adjustable privacy dividers for travelers flying together.

Many of these premium features will also be incorporated into the upgraded Airbus A330-200/300 fleet (ensuring consistency across aircraft). Accessibility has also been a key focus, with new tactile seat controls, improved lavatory design, and a dedicated accessible lavatory on each aircraft. Beyond Delta One®, enhancements extend to every cabin. Delta Comfort and Main Cabin seats will feature redesigned layouts with additional legroom and convenient storage. All passengers will benefit from larger 4K QLED seatback screens, free Wi-Fi, and access to Delta’s expanding content library powered by next-generation technology from Thales. The onboard experience is further elevated through advanced cabin lighting designed to support every phase of flight (from dining to rest to arrival).

Anthony’s Take: With these upgrades, Delta is not only modernizing its fleet but also reinforcing its commitment to continuous improvement, customer-focused innovation, and delivering a premium experience across every journey. I can’t wait to check out the new Delta One® suites and wish they would give some love or retire the ancient Boeing 767s that plague many European routes. Maybe someday.
