Air Canada is continuing its investment in premium airport experiences with the opening of two new Air Canada Café locations at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL).
The newest café at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), located in the domestic C concourse near gates 50 and 51, introduces an expanded 84-seat space spanning more than 4,400 square feet. Designed to reflect the natural beauty and culinary identity of the West Coast, the café features a full-service bar offering barista-crafted coffee, local craft beers, wines from the Okanagan Valley and a curated selection of cocktails.
The food menu highlights locally sourced, seasonal ingredients inspired by Vancouver’s diverse food scene. Offerings include char siu pork bao buns, vegan curry bao, vegetarian kimbap, and pastries from the well-known Granville Island institution Lee’s Donuts. The design incorporates elements inspired by the surrounding landscape including a sculptural ceiling evoking the shoreline of Stanley Park (along with locally sourced artwork and custom installations).

In Montréal, Air Canada has opened a new 62-seat café in the US departures area at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL). This location draws inspiration from the city’s renowned coffee culture and culinary heritage, offering travelers a distinctly local pre-flight experience.
The Montréal café menu features regional favorites such as smoked meat sandwiches, fresh bagels, and artisanal pastries (including pistachio croissants). It also includes a vegan soup created by a Québec-based Indigenous-owned business. Beverage selections showcase local producers, including wines, craft beers, and spirits from across the province.
Both cafés offer a mix of dine-in and grab-and-go options, catering to travelers seeking either a quick stop or a more relaxed pre-flight experience. Access is available to eligible Air Canada customers, including those traveling in Business Class, Aeroplan elite members, Star Alliance Gold members, and select premium credit cardholders.
Anthony’s Take: The openings are part of Air Canada’s broader, multi-year strategy to modernize its global lounge network with additional upgrades and new locations planned in the coming years as the airline continues to elevate the airport experience for its customers. These look pretty sweet.
