Air France is expanding its premium beverage offerings in its most luxe cabin with the introduction of an alcohol-free sparkling rosé served exclusively in its La Première. The new option, produced by French Bloom, marks the first time the airline has offered a non-alcoholic sparkling rosé to its most premium passengers and reflects growing demand for refined alcohol-free alternatives in luxury travel. I know that I would love this as I am not a big drinker and have consumed my weight in ginger ale.

The selection was curated by Xavier Thuizat, Meilleur Sommelier de France 2022 and Air France’s head sommelier. It joins an established collection of alcohol-free beverages already available on board. Crafted from certified organic Chardonnay and finished with a touch of Pinot Noir, French Bloom’s 0.0% alcohol sparkling rosé is made from natural ingredients, without colorants, preservatives, sulfites, or added sugars. The result is a light and low-calorie drink designed to be enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with a meal.

The addition complements La Première’s broader beverage program, which features wines, champagnes, spirits, French beers, and an enhanced cocktail menu created by mixologist Matthias Giroud. By expanding its non-alcoholic offerings, Air France is thankfully adding choices for those looking to abstain from alcohol.

Xavier Thuizat, Air France’s Head Sommelier, said:

The nose is remarkably complex, revealing enchanting notes of pomegranate and verbena. La Première guests will be pleasantly surprised by the elegance and finesse of the bubbles which are a delight to the palate, adding a touch of gourmet indulgence to the red fruit notes.”

Air France currently offers La Première on flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and:

  • Abidjan’s Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport (ABJ)
  • Dubai International Airport (DXB)
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
  • Miami International Airport (MIA)
  • New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
  • San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
  • São Paulo/Guarulhos-Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport (GRU)
  • Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)
  • Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV)
  • Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND)
  • Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

Anthony’s Take: I always appreciate it when an airline has mocktails and other non-alcoholic choices. Kudos to Air France for this addition and here’s hoping this one or others trickle down into the less fancy seats.
