At this point, I had been through Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP), Salt Lake City (SLC), Seattle/Tacoma (SEA), and Los Angeles (LAX). The details of my flight to LAX can be found here.
This flight would bring me to my fifth Delta hub, my fifth flight including the positioning flight from Tampa (TPA), and the first I was visiting on the east coast.
This flight was on a 757-200 with lie-flat seats that was marketed as Delta One®. This was well timed as I was tired and looking forward to a nap. One of Delta’s new amenity kits from Someone Somewhere was also in the seat at boarding.
The bedding is made from eco-friendly materials. More than 100 recycled plastic bottles are used to make each set.
Dinner was served about 30 minutes after departure. I had preordered the meatballs. They were tasty and served with garlic bread, focaccia, a green salad, and a slice of mint chocolate cake for dessert. A solid dinner and much better than what I was served on my flight from SEA to LAX. The flight attendant was sweet and she took good care of the front cabin. I watched two episodes of Friends and fell asleep. I woke up shortly before landing.
We arrived 33 minutes early. Delta has been impressing me all day with its operations and picking up time throughout the day.
With the extra time, I mobile ordered Starbucks® (gotta get those extra SkyMiles) and then headed to the Sky Club®.
I wasn’t hungry at this point. How could I be after eating nearly all day and night? But, I did take some photos for an upcoming review of this lounge as well. My next flight to New York LaGuardia (LGA) was boarding shortly, so I headed down for departure.
Anthony’s Take: The service, food, and early arrival made this a good flight. We arrived 33 minutes early. Delta continues to impress today. Four more flights to go!
