United Airlines offers The Cookie Department’s Crispy™ Double Chocolate Chip cookies as a snack for purchase onboard. It will soon partner with the baking company to donate bars to food pantries across the country through its Buy a Bar, Give a Bar program. This will see complimentary treats given First Class passengers on domestic flights. With these bars, another will be donated to an organization (like Feeding America and The FarmLink Project) that is working to address food equity.
The Buy a Bar, Give a Bar brand has four flavors: Comforting Apple Cinnamon, Wholesome Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Zesty Blueberry Pomegranate, and Off-the-Vine Strawberry. For each bar sold to a passenger, it donates one “to support food equity and combat food insecurity.” Passengers will be able to enjoy these bars on United Airlines’ flights. Those not traveling can purchase them on The Cookie Department’s site.
Andy Sheldon, Co-Founder, President, and CEO of The Cookie Department, said:
United Airlines was the perfect partner to introduce the world to our cookies and bars, as well as our mission. We are dedicated to creating exceptional products like Buy a Bar, Give a Bar, which aligns perfectly with United Airlines’ mission to provide the finest passenger experience.”
The Cookie Project has donated more than 120,000 bars and this partnership with United Airlines will see even more going to those in need while providing travelers with a tasty-looking snack.
Anthony’s Take: These look delicious and I love that they are also doing good. I look forward to trying them on an upcoming United flight.
