An Alaska Airlines flight attendant was fired after a video of her twerking in uniform on an empty aircraft went viral on TikTok last year. She feels that she has been wrongfully terminated (I agree) and has set up a GoFundMe to try to raise some cash.
@_jvnelle415 Cant even be yourself anymore, without the world being so sensitive. Whats wrong with a little twerk before work, people act like they never did that before. #fyp #flightattendantlife 4evaa #discrimnationisreal
The video takes place without passengers on the Boeing 737 and is unoffensive. The 15-second clip cost her a job (what she described as her dream job), but she has apparently pivoted to start a lingerie and dessert business. The $12,000 goal of the GoFundMe campaign is to raise funds to help her continue building her business.
Nelle Diala, the terminated flight attendant, admits that she made a bad judgment call here, but Alaska didn’t find this to be a “harmless clip.” She violated a policy that most airlines have around filming yourself in your uniform. However, in my opinion she was not filming porn and Alaska should have given her a warning while asking her to take the post down.
Anthony’s Take: Ms. Diala has raised $182 of her $12,000 goal. While I don’t think of this as a worthy recipient for a GoFundMe campaign, she should have never been terminated in the first place.

It appears that someone else was filming her, so while there were no passengers on the aircraft her coworkers were there. This could be a case of sexual harassment (It’s not WHAT you do or what you intend to do, it’s the EFFECT that your actions have on others). The lyrics of the song she chose for this are quite offensive. One might say her behavior is lewd and borderline immoral. Personally I would not want to work with her and would report her to HR after this.
