Last year, I wrote about WestJet declining to pursue a joint venture with Delta Air Lines. While it might not have locked that in, it still has a partnership with the Atlanta-based carrier. Delta Medallion members receive their allotted Medallion baggage allowance, lounge access, priority boarding, priority check-in, preferred seats, priority bag drop, priority baggage handling, priority security, and priority transfer desk access when flying with WestJet (and vice versa for WestJet elite members).
Anthony’s Take: I flew WestJet between Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) (more here). I also flew Air Canada Rouge and it just beat WestJet by a little bit. I’d fly the airline again and love that I can credit flights to Delta. I’d like to try the flight to Vancouver.
