Marriott and United Airlines have had a partnership for several years. Elite members can enjoy reciprocal benefits and even complimentary status at certain levels. Now, they’ve partnered on a promo where Marriott Bonvoy® Ambassador Elites can earn United MileagePlus® PlusPoints after spending $4,000 on flights with United Airlines.

Ambassador Promo

Marriott Bonvoy® Ambassador Elites with linked accounts can earn 40 PlusPoints, which can be used to request upgrades on United® flights. Eligible members with linked accounts will need to spend $4,000 on flights operated by United or United Express® between January 1st and March 31st.

United Airlines Premier 1K® members can also earn three Suite Night Awards, which are used to upgrade hotel rooms by spending $3,000 in qualifying charges at Marriott Bonvoy® hotel and resort properties.

Register here if eligible.

  • Promotion valid only for Marriott Bonvoy® members who hold Ambassador Elite status on March 31, 2024 (All Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules apply).
  • A separate registration for this promotion is not required, but qualifying members must be registered for the Preferred Partnership Program between United MileagePlus® and Marriott Bonvoy® by March 31, 2024, to be eligible (“Members”)

  • Full terms can be found here.

While this promotion is for Marriott Bonvoy® Ambassador and United Premier 1K® members, all enrolled with linked accounts can enjoy the following benefits:

Marriott Bonvoy Benefits

Marriott Bonvoy® members all get 10,000 bonus miles when transferring 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy® points. Titanium and Ambassador Elites also get MileagePlus® Premier Silver Status.

United Benefits

United MileagePlus® Premier Silver members can transfer miles to points at a 1:1 rate. Premier Gold, Platinum, 1K®, and Global Services members can link their accounts for complimentary Marriott Bonvoy® Gold Elite status.

Anthony’s Take: If you’re eligible as an Ambassador member and plan on flying a good amount with United Airlines, register for this promo. PlusPoints are not easy to upgrade and especially without Global Services status.
