Porter Airlines is a Toronto-based airline that connects passengers to 18 cities across Canada and the US. This fall, Porter is launching daily flights to five airports in Florida. Canadians represent the largest group of international travelers to Florida and this makes connecting to warmer weather that much easier.

Porter Schedule

Daily flights will launch in November between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and:

  • Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) (begins on November 30th)
  • Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) (begins on November 10th)
  • Miami International Airport (MIA) (begins on December 12th)
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO) (begins on November 21st)
  • Tampa International Airport (TPA) (begins on November 1st)

There will also be daily flights between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and:

  • Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) (begins on November 30th)
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO) (begins on November 21st)

Porter Planes

The new routes are Porter’s first to the US on its 132-seat, all-economy Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. The planes offer 2-2 seating throughout, so no one is stuck in a middle seat.

Free, fast WiFi, premium snacks, as well as free beer and wine are offered to all passengers. Priority check-in, extra legroom seats, premium pre-mixed cocktails, and fresh, healthy meals are also available with certain fares or for purchase a la carte.

Anthony’s Take: I’ve never flown Porter, but service from Tampa puts them on my list for this winter. I haven’t been to Toronto in a few years and would love to go back.
