American Express and its reservation booking platform, Resy, have a limited but pretty cool promotion this month. If you snag one of the exclusive reservations, your tab (for up to six people and up to $99 per person) will be picked up.

To celebrate local restaurants in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, DC, Shop Small and Resy will cover the bill for lucky diners at a select group of restaurants on August 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Each Monday starting on August 7th, reservations will open at 10:00 AM local time with reservations for the Wednesday of that week. If diners are lucky enough to book one slot, their meal (and up to five of their companions) will have $99 per person paid (up to $594). The restaurants include the list below. Anthony’s Take: I’m going to try to win one of the slots above. Even if I don’t get one (likely), I’ll make sure to use my Amex to earn the statement credits from the offer above.

Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: When I’m dining out, I want to maximize my points earned. My card of choice for restaurants and food delivery is the American Express® Gold Card. With it, I earn four Membership Rewards® Points for each dollar spent at restaurants, plus takeout and delivery in the US. It also includes up to $120 annual credit (up to $10 per month given in statement credits) for Grubhub, The Cheesecake Factory, Goldbelly, Wine.com, Milk Bar, and Shake Shack. Plus, up to another $120 annually (up to $10 per month) in Uber Cash that I can use for Uber Eats. When I’m hungry, this is the card I choose.
