Delta Air Lines is on a roll with announcing multiple new and returning routes. Earlier today, I wrote about the resumption of its Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) this coming October. Now, there is another announcement with four routes being added to the carrier’s network.

This winter, Delta will add two new routes and restart two others. These include:

  • Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to/from Liberia’s Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) (1x weekly; starts on January 11th)
  • Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) to/from Providenciales International Airport (PLS) (1x weekly; starts on December 21st)
  • New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to/from Antigua’s V. C. Bird International Airport (ANU) (1x weekly; starts on January 11th). This route has not run since 2021.
  • New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to/from St. Kitts Robert L. Bradshaw Airport (SKB) (1x weekly; starts on January 11th). This route has not run since 2020.

Barbados

Back in February, I wrote about four other new Caribbean routes for Delta. These include:

  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to/from Bridgetown’s Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) (1x weekly; starts on November 23rd). This route has not run since 2017.
  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to/from Puerto Plata International Airport (POP)
  • (1x weekly; starts on November 23rd). This route has not run since 2011.
  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to/from Curaçao International Airport (CUR)
  • (increases to daily on November 23rd). This route has not run since 2011.
  • Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) to/from Mazatlán International Airport (MZT) (3x weekly; starts on December 19th).

Delta’s recent growth in Latin America is significant year over year with capacity up over 20% compared to past years. This will be the Atlanta-based carrier’s largest schedule to the region in its history.

Anthony’s Take: Delta is making a huge push for Latin America and the Caribbean as the temperatures drop. Excited to see all of these new routes.
