A passenger was preparing to board a JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) when he allegedly made a joke about the TSA not finding a bomb in his bag. This was a bad idea as it had him booted from the flight and arrested.

Mack Bjorn

News 10 reports that Mack Bjorn, of Reno, NV ended up spending the night of his 27th birthday in jail after this amateur comedian’s joke fell flat. According to the arrest report, he was confronted by a flight attendant where he doubled down and repeated “that the TSA missed the bomb in his bag.”

No bomb was found and Bjorn invoked his right to an attorney after being arrested. A Broward County judge found probable cause and charged Bjorn with making a false report of a bomb, arson or weapon of mass destruction, which is a second-degree felony.

Anthony’s Take: There are several things you should not say at an airport or on a plane and “bomb” tops the list. This stupid joke has led to much more trouble than this guy bargained for on the jetbridge.
