Every stay can’t be at a luxury hotel. Sometimes you just need something that is clean and convenient. Such was the case this weekend while we were in Rhode Island. The Hyatt Place Warwick Providence Airport opened in 2018 and satisfies our needs when we’re visiting my brother-in-law.
Anthony’s Take: The hotel is conveniently attached to Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD). If you’re staying here for a connecting flight, it’s incredibly easy as it’s just a short walk from the terminal. If you’re visiting the area like we were, you will have no problem finding a parking spot as the hotel has a rather large lot on property. We did not eat the complimentary breakfast or use the fitness center, but those are options here. The suite I booked was comfortable and provided us plenty of space for a two-night stay. My only complaint is that the room was not serviced. We left in the morning and returned in the evening to find the bed unmade and no towels replaced.
Booking
I booked directly from Hyatt.com on a “Member Rate.” There was only a $30 difference between booking a room and a suite. The suite is nearly twice the size of a room, so this was a no brainer. World of Hyatt points can be redeemed here for 6,500 to 9,500 points as it falls into Hyatt’s Category 2. Parking is complimentary for all guests and like all other Hyatt Place hotels, breakfast is included.
Transportation to/from the Hotel
We rented a car and drove from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). Flight options to PVD were rather limited from Tampa, so we flew to BOS and drove a little over an hour. Returning home, we took the same route.
Location
As mentioned, the hotel is located conveniently attached to the airport. It’s a great hotel for an overnight layover or if you’re exploring Rhode Island. The state is tiny and we were able to get to our family within 15 minutes.
Check-in
I did a mobile check in and arrived at the hotel around 11:00 PM. The app did not offer a mobile key, but there was no line to get a physical one. The agent explained that breakfast is included for all guests and that as a Globalist I could take two bottles of water from the display case next to the desk daily. She did not ask about a late checkout and I did not inquire as we were leaving early in the morning. I booked a suite and there are no upgrades past this one, so that also was not discussed.
The lobby has plenty of seating including a bar, many tables, and other options. The tables were full during breakfast, but pretty empty at other times.

Suite (427)
There are 125 rooms and suites at the hotel.
The suite opens into a kitchen complete with a range, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The kitchen also had plates, glasses, and cooking utensils. This is great for a longer stay. We did not use any of these amenities as we were eating out with family.
There is a table and chairs across from the kitchen area.
One of the two closets is located next to the kitchen.
Past the kitchen is a living room with a couch, ottoman, TV, and chair.

The bedroom is to the left of the kitchen and living room.
Another TV and dresser are in the large bedroom.
A second closet is found in the bedroom. It contains the iron, ironing board, an extra blanket, and a pillow.
A full-length mirror was also outside of the bathroom.
The bathroom is off of the bedroom. It includes a vanity (with a cool light-up mirror that I actually have in my guest bedroom in Chicago), a shower, and a toilet.

There was a good amount of space in the bathroom. It’s nice to not have the toilet butted right against the shower.
Amenities
The hotel has a fitness center, a small indoor pool, snacks and beverages for sale at the front desk, a flight departures board, and a few computers for guest use (pictured above).

There is an indoor pool next door. It reeked of chlorine, which usually means some kids had been using it as their toilet earlier in the day. One of the many reasons why I don’t get into public pools.
Breakfast
All guests are provided with a complimentary breakfast in a room off of the lobby. It’s a buffet and I have to admit that it looked pretty decent. There were eggs, sausage, pancakes with berry compote, fruit, and more. My only complaint is that breakfast ends at 10:00 AM. This is early on a weekend morning.
You’ll also find a selection of coffee and tea outside of the breakfast room.
Overall Impression:
The Hyatt Place Warwick Providence Airport is a great option if you’re staying for a layover or looking for a convenient base to visit Rhode Island. It offers comfortable rooms, complimentary breakfast, free parking, a pool, and fitness center. I know we’ll be back when in the area.
