JetBlue Airways has really stepped up when it comes to taking over routes previously flown by Spirit Airlines. On Saturday, I wrote about 11 new routes that the carrier is adding. Now, it’s introducing a status match opportunity for frequent flyers impacted by Spirit Airlines’s shutdown. It allows eligible customers to transition their loyalty benefits to JetBlue’s program.

JetBlue Status Match

For a limited time, Spirit’s Free Spirit Silver and Gold members can request a match into JetBlue’s TrueBlue program (specifically into the Mosaic 1 and Mosaic 2 tiers). This gives qualifying travelers access to a range of perks designed to enhance the travel experience (like priority boarding, check-in, free bags, and seat upgrades). The move is aimed at ensuring continuity for frequent travelers who previously relied on Spirit’s loyalty program.

Eligible travelers can submit a request for the status match here. Full details on requirements, documentation, and terms can be found there.

Anthony’s Take: JetBlue’s status match offer provides a smooth transition for former Spirit loyalists, giving them access to enhanced benefits and replacing some of what they lost.
