This isn’t a gimmick. It’s a targeted promotion tied to the airline’s growing focus on Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) as it battles United Airlines. It’s not much, but the promo could give locals a small but meaningful boost toward AAdvantage elite status.
American Airlines is offering 1,000 AAdvantage miles plus 1,000 Loyalty Points to eligible Illinois residents (simply for enrolling in the promotion).

- Log in to your AAdvantage account

- Look for the Illinois-targeted bonus offer
- Click to enroll before April 30th
