United Airlines made its big announcement around the exciting new and returning international routes for summer 2026 back in October. It added four new European destinations (Bari, Glasgow, Santiago de Compostela, and Split) to its summer 2026 schedule. With this latest expansion, United will serve more destinations in Europe than any other US airline and offer travelers an even broader range of options to explore the continent. In addition to that news, the airline has started to add other less exciting routes to round out its offerings. These include five year-round additions and nine others that will only be around for the summer.
New routes include:
Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Yellowstone Regional Airport (COD) (1x weekly; runs from May 22nd to September 19th)
Denver International Airport (DEN)
- Albany International Airport (ALB) (daily; starts on April 30th)
- Bangor International Airport (BGR) (1x weekly; runs from June 27th to September 5th)
- Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) (1x weekly; runs from May 23rd to August 8th)
Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
- Burlington International Airport (BTV) (1x weekly; runs from May 23rd to August 8th)
- Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL) (daily; starts on May 21st)
- Spokane International Airport (GEG) (1x weekly; runs from May 23rd to August 8th)
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
- John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) (daily; starts on March 29th)
- Kansas City International Airport (MCI) (daily; starts on April 6th)
- Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) (daily; starts on March 29th)
- Portland International Jetport (PWM) (1x weekly; runs from June 20th to September 19th)
San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
- Portland International Jetport (PWM) (1x weekly; runs from June 27th to September 19th)
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
- Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) (1x weekly; runs from May 23rd to September 19th)
- Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) (1x weekly; runs from May 23rd to October 24th)
Anthony’s Take: United’s route network blows away the other US carriers. It just keeps getting more robust and while these are not exotic adds, they will make it easier for many travelers this summer.
