Meatballs are another favorite food and I want to taste them if they’re on a menu. I had the chance to do just that while flying from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) today. Jon & Vinny’s Braised Meatballs are only available for pre-order and I selected these about a week ago. The recipe is from famous LA restaurateurs, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo.

I started the meal with a ginger ale. This is another flight without a snack basket to start. I’m wondering if Delta has axed this part of the service.

Delta describes the dish as served with “Bianco DiNapoli marinara, garlic bread, and Gioia ricotta.”

What I got did not have any garlic bread, but did have some delicious polenta. The tray came with a warm bread roll and the tiramisu that never seems to be going away. The meatballs were tender and well flavored. The sauce played well with the ricotta and the polenta.

I did not even bother eating it because I know it’s rather meh.
Anthony’s Take: This is another hearty and satisfying meal on Delta Air Lines. As I finish out the year (and am one flight away from Diamond Medallion), I have been trying lots of Delta’s meals and they all have been consistently tasty.
