The oneworld® alliance has released its list of the 10 most-searched destinations for Round the World travel in 2026. The alliance’s data underscores strong interest in long-haul, multi-stop itineraries as travelers increasingly look to explore multiple regions in a single journey.

The list reflects oneworld’s global footprint, with major hubs across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Oceania dominating traveler interest. Here are the top 10 most-searched cities:

  • London
  • Tokyo
  • Doha
  • Hong Kong
  • Sydney
  • Los Angeles
  • Dallas
  • New York
  • Melbourne
  • Singapore

I’ve been to nine of the top 10 and this is a pretty solid list.

Following the addition of Fiji Airways and Oman Air this year and Hawaiian Airlines set to join in 2026, oneworld® has recorded increased search interest for destinations across the Pacific and Indian Ocean regions. Fiji, the Cook Islands, Kiribati, and Hawaii are climbing in popularity (as is Oman thanks to its growing global connectivity).

Most travelers booking these journeys are venturing out alone (66% are embarking on solo trips). Typical itineraries feature around seven stops and last three months or more. oneworld® stands out as the only global airline alliance offering multiple Round the World ticket types. All itineraries can be planned and booked directly on oneworld.com and travelers can earn frequent flyer points while enjoying access to more than 700 lounges worldwide. Travelers can include three to 16 flights across as many as six continents. Each itinerary must feature both a transatlantic and transpacific crossing and can be valid for 10 days up to 12 months.

There are three types of itineraries to choose from, including:

  • oneworld Explorer – Continent-Based Fare: Ideal for travelers who want to explore multiple regions across the map.
  • Global Explorer – Distance-Based Fare: Better suited for complex routes with long-haul segments.
  • Circle Pacific – For Pacific Rim Travel: Designed for trips beginning and ending in a Pacific-bordering country without circling the globe fully.

Roger Blackburn, oneworld® Vice President Commercial and Loyalty, said:

“Searches on oneworld.com show a strong appetite for adventure in the New Year. From the Big Apple and Hawaii’s Big Island to Mount Fiji and the Atlas Mountains, oneworld®’s Round the World fares offer customers access to an unbeatable network of leading airlines on a single ticket. oneworld®’s Round the World fares are also increasingly popular with corporate travelers looking for flexible, cost-effective travel options for complex itineraries.”

Anthony’s Take: As global travel demand continues to rebound, oneworld®’s Round the World offerings remain a unique way to see the world in a single, customizable journey. I’ve always wanted to book one of these through either Star Alliance or oneworld®, but just don’t have the time for a trip this long (and I’d want it to be long to get my money’s worth).
