As I wrote about back in January, Icelandair will begin flying nonstop between Keflavík Airport (KEF) and Miami International Airport (MIA) tomorrow, October 26th. The route will run 3x weekly until May 2026 using Airbus A321LR aircraft that offers 22 Saga Premium and 165 Economy Class seats. This will be Icelandair’s longest route and one that has not been offered since WOW Air ceased operations.
With this addition, Miami International Airport (MIA) will be the only airport in Florida with nonstop flights to all five countries in Scandinavia. Reykjavik will become the airport’s 21st European destination across carriers.
Icelandair will soon fly to the following 15 US cities:
- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Denver International Airport (DEN)
- Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
- Miami International Airport (MIA)
- Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
- Nashville International Airport (BNA)
- New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT)
- Portland International Airport (PDX)
- Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)
- Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
The last city added to Icelandair’s US coverage before Miami was Nashville International Airport (BNA). This launched on May 16th and runs 4x weekly.
