JetBlue today announced a major expansion of service at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). This further cements its position as South Florida’s leading airline. This winter, JetBlue will operate a record 113 daily departures (making it the airport’s largest carrier by number of flights).

Beginning November 2025, JetBlue will launch nine new nonstop routes across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean, including the airline’s first-ever service to Cali’s Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO) (frequency and start date to be announced) . Other routes include:

  • Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) (3x weekly, starts on December 4th)
  • Cartagena’s Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) (4x weekly, starts on December 4th)
  • Grand Cayman’s Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) (3x weekly, starts on December 4th)
  • Liberia’s Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) (daily, starts on December 4th)
  • New Orleans Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) (2x daily, starts on November 1st)
  • Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) (daily, starts on November 1st)
  • San Pedro Sula’s Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport (SAP) (4x weekly, starts on December 4th)
  • St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) (4x weekly, starts on December 4th)

In addition to the nine new destinations, JetBlue will also increase frequencies on several of its most popular routes this winter:

  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
  • Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
  • Cancún International Airport (CUN)
  • Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL)
  • Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport (KIN)
  • Punta Cana Airport (PUJ)
  • San Jose’s Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO)
  • San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU)
  • Santiago’s Cibao International Airport (STI)

These additional flights give travelers even more options and flexibility, particularly during peak holiday travel periods.

Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, said:

As the top airline in Fort Lauderdale, with more departures than any other carrier on peak travel days, JetBlue is proud to keep raising the bar for customers in South Florida and to continue bringing them to the places they want to go. By adding new routes and expanding service to top destinations, we’re giving travelers more opportunities to enjoy the comfort, quality service and value that sets JetBlue apart.”

To celebrate its record 113 peak daily flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), JetBlue is offering introductory fares starting at $113 or less for travel to any of its 46 nonstop destinations from the airport this fall.

Anthony’s Take: JetBlue is smart in adding more leisure destinations and capitalizing on what the airline was known for in the past. We’ll see how these perform and what other plans the airline has as it evolves.

A quibble, but the B6 press release only goes as far as to claim that this “cements” their position as FLL’s leading airline.

You seem to have gone a step further by stating B6 as “South Florida’s leading airline”. Of course the problem with this is MIA is in South Florida, and AA’s operation there dwarf’s B6’s in FLL.

At any rate, it’s great to see this for what has been a struggling B6, and for FLL too, which lost the bulk of Southwest’s international flying to MCO within the last year.
