Travel is better when you’re not alone and especially when it’s free. Frontier Airlines announced today that it’s bringing back its “Friends Fly Free” promotion (available exclusively to members of its Discount Den club). For bookings made today and tomorrow, members can bring a travel companion along at no additional airfare cost on select flights from September 2nd to 30th (this excludes taxes and fees, which start at $10.10).
As an added incentive, non-members can join Discount Den for a full year at no cost (a $99 value) when they sign up while booking (during this two-day window). Members will receive access not only to the Friends Fly Free offer, but also to a year’s worth of Frontier’s lowest fares and exclusive deals. Reservations must be made by 11:59 PM MDT tomorrow, August 19th on FlyFrontier.com or the Frontier mobile app. The promotion is valid for groups of two or more traveling on the same reservation (blackout dates apply).
No discount code is needed and flights must be booked at least 14 days prior to travel. The promotion is not available on all routes and travel.
This promotion comes as part of a broader overhaul of the airline’s products and services (marketed as “The New Frontier”).
Key elements include:
- UpFront Plus Seating: This is available in the first two rows, it features extra leg and elbow room, a window or aisle seat, and a guaranteed empty middle seat.
- Unlimited Companion Travel: This is offered to the airline’s most loyal customers (with the flexibility to choose a different companion on every flight).
- First Class Seating: Set to launch in late 2025, it will combine enhanced space with the affordability that Frontier is know.
Jeff Werkheiser, Senior Director of Brand and Customer Engagement at Frontier Airlines, said:
Our Discount Den members already enjoy our lowest fares to destinations across our network, and now they will save even more when they travel with a buddy for free. Frontier is ready to be your new low fare airline, and this is just the first of many can’t miss offers we have in store this week.”
Anthony’s Take: If you have plans to fly Frontier as a two-some, this is a good promotion. Plus, if you’re not a member of Discount Den, it makes sense to try it for free.
