After arriving from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), we had a connecting flight on Brussels Airlines to Milan Linate Airport (LIN). This was a quick and uneventful flight that passed by with me doing some work and glancing out the window on the way to Italy.
Anthony’s Take: The crew was friendly, we got a tasty meal, and arrived on time. Other than that, there is not much to say about this flight as amenities were extremely limited (it’s 2025 and all aircraft should have power and Wi-Fi). European Business Class is nothing to get excited about, but it’s still better than having someone pressed up against you in Economy. We checked in online and had no issues doing so. We did not use the app, but the website worked fine and our boarding passes were in my Apple Wallet.
Booking
This flight was booked as a one-way flight from Brussels Airport (BRU) to Milan Linate Airport (LIN). I paid around $675 per ticket. This is quite expensive for a short flight, but I did not want to deal with the potential hassle around cabin baggage allowances or to be packed into a tight row. I booked the flight directly with Brussels Airlines and credited it to United MileagePlus.
Brussels Airport (BRU)
We did not have time to visit a lounge or do more than grab a quick coffee at Starbucks. We did not need to once again clear security, but had to go through passport control. The walk between our arrival gate and departure gate was quite lengthy as well. Concourse A handles most flights within Europe and we were thankful that the lines were nowhere near as insane as they were for Concourse B. The airport is pretty nice with lots of shopping and nods to Belgian food and culture (think waffles and Smurfs).
Boarding
The flight boarded on time and we were near the front. Group 1 is HON Circle and First. There is no First Class on this plane and no HON Circle members were present. Group 2 is Business Class, Miles & More Senator members, and Star Alliance Gold. The announcements were clear and boarding was orderly.
On-Board
We booked late and there were not two seats together. We ended up in 1A and 1B in Business Class. The first three rows of the cabin were designated Business Class in that the middle seat remained empty. The seats could recline and had tray tables, but there were no outlets or USB ports. The aircraft was also not equipped with Wi-Fi.
Each seat had its own air vent and reading light.
A pocket held a safety card and menu for buy-on-board food and beverages.
Food
A meal was served even though the flight was just a little over an hour. There was no choice. It was duck breast with lentils, apples, and fennel. This came with a multigrain roll and a small box of Neuhaus chocolates. The meal hit the spot and was quite tasty.
Beverage choices are limited for me when there is not ginger ale or bitter lemon. I opted for an orange juice. The flight attendant was proactive in offering refills even on this short flight.
Wi-Fi
As mentioned, there is no Wi-Fi available on the aircraft.
Lavatory
There are two lavatories on the aircraft. These are standard airplane bathrooms with a sink and toilet.
Overall Impression:
The flight got us there on time with a nice meal and friendly service. I wish there were outlets and Wi-Fi, but it was a fine flight with no other complaints.

Nice review. Flying into Linate Airport is better in my experience.
