Delta Air Lines is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The Atlanta-based carrier started as Huff Daland Dusters (an aerial crop-dusting company) in Macon, GA on March 2, 1925 before growing to be a leader in global aviation. To celebrate 100 years, Delta unveiled its Centennial livery this past weekend at an event filled with employees, past CEOs, and more.
The new livery features swooping details, a bold 100 emblem, and first-ever silver supergraphic. The new livery looks great on this Airbus A350-900. This is the first aircraft with the livery painted on it, but Delta also had an Airbus A321neo at the event. This is the aircraft that some folks spotted in Toulouse, France a few months ago (as reported by ATXJetsetter.)
Anthony’s Take: It’s odd to see a Delta livery without more red, but I think the blue and silver looks sleek and modern. Happy 100th, Delta!
