Hawaiian Airlines unveiled the first look at its upcoming Premium Lounge that will open in Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) at the end of 2027. The new lounge will be five times the size of the current space at the airport.

The design is inspired by Hawaii’s rich natural elements and will include sculptures, pops of color, and lots of light to create a relaxing environment for guests to enjoy. The lounge will be located at the entrance of the Mauka Concourse in Terminal 1. Once opened, both Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines passengers will have access to this new space.

Hawaiian’s upcoming lounge in its Honolulu hub will offer guests a much-improved experience when visiting the island. This is not the only new Hawaiian Airlines’ lounge. Last month Hawaiian opened its second Premier Club at Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG). This is the airline’s sixth Premier Club in Hawaii.

Todd Traynor-Corey, Vice President of Guest Products and Experience at Alaska Airlines, said:

We are reimagining the travel experience with spaces that showcase our dedication to guest satisfaction and the unique culture of Hawaii. Our new Honolulu lounge will be the first-of-its-kind within this space and will offer a modern oasis for our guests to enjoy.”

Alisa Onishi, Director of Brand and Culture at Hawaiian Airlines, added:

Our new Honolulu lounge will be a celebration of our guest’s voyage, thoughtfully crafted to honor the beauty and warmth of our island home. This space reinforces our commitment to providing an unrivaled travel experience that reflects the purpose and values of our hometown airline.”

Anthony’s Take: The new space looks modern and beautiful. Hawaiian and Alaska are making lots of investments to improve the guest experience on the ground and in the air across their combined network.
