Aeromexico is adding its third Colombian destination in February 2025. Flights will run daily between Mexico City International Airport (MEX) and Cartagena’s Rafael Nunez International Airport (CTG) when the route launches this winter.
Currently, Aeromexico already flies to both Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport (BOG) and José María Córdova International Airport (MDE). It has connected Mexico and Colombia for more than 14 years and will operate 70 weekly flights to Colombia (an increase of 25%) once all three routes are in service.
Cartagena is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Colombia. The city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 and offers more than 20 beaches, as well as a wide variety of artistic and cultural events.
The route will be flown with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. These offer 16 Premier Class, 18 AM Plus, and 132 Main Cabin seats.
Anthony’s Take: I went to Cartagena a few years ago and enjoyed my time exploring the city. I got food poisoning, which was not fun but the rest of the trip was great.
