British Airways flight BA158 was moments from departure when a bomb threat caused an evacuation and delay of the flight between Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
The flight was scheduled to depart at 8:50 PM, but was delayed almost four hours after the threat was received. The Boeing 777-200 was swept after all passengers had deplaned and it was found to be clear of any explosive devices.
British Airways Boeing 777 – flt BA158 / BAW18B ( SPEEDBIRD 18 BRAVO ) entered the runway for takeoff from Bremuda to London this evening and ATC canceled their takeoff clearance because they received a email stating there was a bomb onboard! đź‘€

The clip above shares the exchange between air traffic control and the pilots. ATC tells them to cancel takeoff and they calmly ask for further directions. A spokeswoman for British Airways said:
The safety of our customers and colleagues is always our highest priority and we followed our standard procedures to disembark the aircraft. Our teams are caring for our customers and supporting crew as we work to get them on their way as soon as possible.”
Anthony’s Take: Thankfully, this was not a real bomb and all passengers made it to London without injury or further incident.
