Delta Air Lines unveiled its 2024 Team USA livery today in Toulouse, France. The Airbus A350 celebrates United States Olympic and Paralympic teams. Delta Air Lines has a partnership with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee that runs until the 2028 games in Los Angeles.
Toulouse is the home of Airbus’ global headquarters and it’s where the plane was built this year. Delta Chairman’s Club, which is a peer-selected group of the airline’s top 100 employees, was on hand for the big reveal. There is an annual class and in attendance were the 100 selected in 2023. Delta Chairman’s Club employees will fly on the aircraft back to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) tomorrow, May 3rd.
Delta’s Chief Marketing Officer, Alicia Tillman, said:
Unveiling the Team USA aircraft for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 marks a major milestone for Delta’s support of Team USA as we look toward the start of competition in just a few months. This plane, designed by our in-house creative team, represents Delta’s commitment to Team USA and our partnership to elevate these athletes to reach their highest potential. As this plane flies around the world in the coming months and years, we hope it is seen as a symbol of hard work, dedication and the upward momentum to being the best that Team USA and Delta innately share.”
The custom livery was designed by Alessandra Rabellino and Delta’s brand design team, Window Seat. The design features red, white, and blue along with ‘Team USA’ written across the side. It maintains elements of the Team USA Livery that was created for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing 2022.
Anthony’s Take: I love the design of this livery and can hear fans chanting “USA, USA” when looking at it. The Olympics and Paralympics are coming up fast in Paris this summer.
