• Daily SJC-PDX, 2x daily SJC-LAX begin June 5
• 4x weekly BWI-SJC begins June 5, 3x weekly BWI-SMF begins June 6.Spirit has been increasing transcontinental service out of BWI, recently adding BWI-PDX/SAN and now BWI-SJC/SMF

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
Spirit is adding two new transcontinental routes in June. These include:
- Sacramento International Airport (SMF) (3x weekly; starts on June 6th)
- San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) (4x weekly; starts on June 5th)
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
Spirit is adding two routes to/from United’s NYC-area hub. These include:
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) (Daily; starts on July 10th)
- Kansas City International Airport (MCI) (Daily; starts on July 10th)
Other Routes
In addition to the four routes above, Spirit will also begin flying:
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to/from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) (Daily; starts on July 10th)
- San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) to/from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) (2x daily; begins on June 5th)
- San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) to/from Portland International Airport (PDX) (Daily; starts on June 5th)
Anthony’s Take: I’m most excited for the Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) route as we have been flying less United and more Spirit and this will be great for visiting family in New Jersey.
