BermudAir connects Bermuda and the US with year-round service. Tickets for its first three routes went on sale in August with flights starting in October. Now, the airline is adding two new destinations: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Beginning on March 18th, BermudAir will begin 3x weekly flights to both Baltimore and Orlando Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays using the airline’s two Embraer E175 aircraft. These two planes make up its entire fleet and each can carry up to 88 passengers, but the airline blocks seats for Business Class and thus carries less than 88 passengers.
When the airline was launching, it wanted to be only Business Class in a 1-1 configuration (and to retrofit the planes with some pretty cool seats). That didn’t work out once it was in operation and Economy Class tickets were quickly added.
BermudAir now serves five destinations from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA). These include:
- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Westchester County Airport (HPN)
Anthony’s Take: Now that BermudAir is flying closer to home in Orlando, it might be worth a quick trip to try it out.
