United Airlines operates flight UA200 from Guam’s Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport (GUM) to Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) that departs on January 1st and lands on December 31st due to timezones being crossed. This usually would give passengers the opportunity to celebrate New Year’s twice, but not this year. The flight is delayed by over six hours and will now land on January 1st.
Unfortunately, UA200 – one of a handful of flights that lets passengers celebrate New Year's twice – is delayed, now arriving just after midnight on 1/1 instead of 12/31. pic.twitter.com/QrvSdm49WD

I’m sure most of the passengers on this flight were flying because they want or need to be in Hawaii and not for the novelty, but it’s kind of annoying that the flight was delayed.
United is not giving a reason for the delay in the app, but the inbound flight is almost seventeen hours behind when it was supposed to land.
Anthony’s Take: I feel bad for anyone who was hoping to go back in time for a second chance to welcome 2024. If it’s any concession, there are worse places to end up than in Honolulu.

Couldn’t think of a stupider thing to do unless you had to travel anyway.
