Pan American World Airways, commonly known as Pan Am, was once the epitome of glamour and the jetset of the early days of commercial aviation. In its prime, it was the largest international air carrier and unofficial overseas flag carrier of the United States. The carrier declared bankruptcy and sold off its assets in 1991. The airline has been gone for over 30 years, but if you’ve got the cash you can relive some of the luxury once afforded to Pan Am travelers on a 12-day itinerary that hits the airline’s historic southern and northern transatlantic routes in June 2025.
This trip sounds awesome and with its price tag it better be.
A ticket for the “Tracing the Transatlantic” trip costs $59,950 per person (based on double occupancy). Solo travelers will need to pay $65,500. Here’s the itinerary:
- New York: Start the journey at the Waldorf Astoria
- Bermuda: Stay at the Rosewood Bermuda
- Lisbon: Stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz
- London: Stay at The Savoy
- Foynes: Stay at Dromoland Castle
The journey will be on board a Boeing 757-200 in an all Business-Class configuration. Flights will depart from private air terminals. All flights, hotel stays, and meals are included. This is open to a maximum of 50 passengers. To learn more or book, click here. Please tell me if you book (and adopt me).
Pan American World Airways is already planning its next flight in 2027. That trip will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Pan Am’s first flight.
Anthony’s Take: This looks like a fun trip. It’s similar (but much shorter) to what Four Seasons offers with a Boeing 757-200 also carrying passengers from place to place on whirlwind tour for lots of cash. I’d love to hear more if anyone ends up taking this trip.

I’m a former Pan Am flight attendant. I would like to work this flight as senior Purser. 🩵✈️🌐
I think you should take one for the team and go on this epic journey. Pan Am was my all time favorite airline and I’d love to go but the cost is about one zero too many for me to be able to pull this off.
A rose on your tray table, beluga caviar served with chilled vodka and all the trimmings followed by a fresh salad with several main course choices including Chateau Briand sliced to order at your seat, and a dessert of freshly prepared ice cream sundae with all the toppings. Lastly, fresh brewed coffee and a snifter of Benedictine and brandy to top off the meal. There were many options, but this was my favorite meal sitting in the front of a new 747 winging across the globe. Nothing in recent memory compares. If they can recreate this experience, it may be worth $60K!
