This week, United Airlines is bringing MileagePlus members who are United® Chase Cardmembers the opportunity to redeem miles for discounted tickets. Yesterday saw 25,000-mile tickets (each way) to/from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). Today, United is offering award seats to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) for 25,000 miles each way. This deal only lasts today and a new city promo will be released tomorrow.

  • United Cardmembers save on award travel to Amsterdam (AMS). Taxes and government-imposed fees for award travel from the U.S. to Amsterdam (AMS) start at $100.41 round-trip. Taxes & fees may vary with exchange rate.

Anthony’s Take: As I said yesterday about Paris, if you want a cheap way to get to Amsterdam and don’t mind the transatlantic flight in Economy Class, book today for this deal on award tickets.

Why are you giving United airtime for this nonsense deal. 25k one way and only for the primary card holder is FAR from a good deal. Virgin sells KLM direct for 12k and Flying Blue is 20k (or 26k in Premium!)

People seem to forget that Saver used to be 22.5k. Stop giving these bullshit non deals any airtime.

Everything used to be cheaper. Is it the best deal ever? No. Is it less than it normally is and therefore a savings that someone might find useful? Sure. Am I booking it? No. I’d love to see some Polaris deals, though.
