Spirit Airlines flight NK1921 was flying from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport (BOG) when an emergency was declared due to smoke in the cabin.
The Airbus A320neo diverted to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) around two hours and 35 minutes after departure. Four crew members received minor injuries during the incident.
After the diversion, passengers made it to Colombia a little more than six hours late.
Anthony’s Take: Luckily, this flight landed safely with only some minor injuries for a few crew members. Smoke in the cabin has to be scary.
