United Airlines runs specials throughout the year known as MileagePlus Exclusives. These include dinners (see my experience last year at Formento’s here) as well as tickets to concerts, shows, and sporting events. Right now, United is offering a limited number of tickets for Madonna’s concert at the United Center on February 2nd.
In addition to a ticket, the offer includes:
- One complimentary parking pass per Cardmember
- Preselected food and drinks available in-suite
United describes the experience as:
As a United MileagePlus Cardmember, you’re invited to attend a one-of-a-kind Madonna performance, commemorating her 40-year reign as the Queen of Pop. Experience the show from a club level suite at the United Center, 28 rows up from the floor. Sing along in an intimate space while engaging within the best fan and venue atmosphere. Enjoy complimentary parking at the event and in-suite food and beverages during the concert. Cardmembers can secure a spot for the Friday, February 2 concert for just 30,000 miles.”
As of writing this, there were 26 tickets left. Each one costs 30,000 MileagePlus miles and they are limited to two per account. Purchase here.
Anthony’s Take: I’ve redeemed several dinners and tickets to shows like Dear Evan Hansen. These offer a great value (especially after the recent devaluation of miles). I can’t be in Chicago for Madonna, but I’ll be definitely looking for more opportunities in the future.
Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: The United℠ Explorer Card is the best card for regular United flyers and one of the two United cards I hold. The annual fee is waived the first year, then it’s $95. With it, you get 2 miles per $1 spent on United Airlines, restaurants, and hotels (booked directly through the hotel); 1 mile per $1 spent on all other qualifying purchases. Other benefits include: upgrades on award tickets for Premier® members (a benefit not offered to anyone else other than GS members), a free checked bag on every flight, a 25% statement credit on purchases made onboard (think Wi-Fi or snacks), two United Club℠ passes (annually) and priority boarding with Group 2.
