On our way home from Exuma, we had a layover in Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). We decided to check out the Sky Club® in Terminal E since our flight arrived and was departing from here. This is a pretty large lounge with lots of seating configurations and even when busy, it still felt spacious.

Access

Access is granted to passengers with memberships (purchased annually), one-time pass holders (earned from the co-branded American Express cards), Delta One®, SkyTeam premium cabin passengers, SkyTeam Elite Plus when flying internationally in premium cabins, the Centurion® and the Platinum Card® from American Express holders, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card holders, WestJet business class passengers, and WestJet Rewards Platinum and Gold Elite. Allowed guests vary by access type. A same-day boarding pass is required to enter the Delta Sky Club®.

Anthony’s Take: We found a quiet spot and enjoyed our time at the Sky Club®. The food was good and the lounge felt spacious even when the line was snaking out the door and down the hall. Its amenities include a buffet, a dessert station, a gelato station, a full bar as well as a wine cart, restrooms, magazines, and free Wi-Fi.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Desk

There is a large desk as soon as you enter to verify credentials. There are no kiosks here.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Seats

There are also some chairs across from the desk (more of a display and they remained vacant).

Delta Sky Club ATL E Departure Boards

Departure boards are around the corner near the restrooms.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Magazines

Magazines were available across from the departure board.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Bar

A bar is located on the right side the lounge. It offers all of the standard spirits, wine, and beer that Delta provides complimentary as well as some premium options for purchase.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Wine Cart

Across from the desk was a wine cart with some complimentary selections.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Espresso 1

Delta Sky Club ATL E Espresso 2

There are two espresso machines across from the buffet. One was not in service.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Coffee

Drip coffee was available near the desserts.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Drinks

Special drinks were available for Memorial Day. There is a soda machine on the side of the bar, but no iced tea or lemonade were found like other Sky Clubs®.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Seating 1

Seating & Decor

There is tons of seating in this Sky Club®. There are lots of tables, high tops, and desks around the room. The art was rather lacking here and I found the lounge a bit bland.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Cubicles

Cubicles are located in the back corner behind the front desk.

Delta Sky Club ATL E Seating 2

More seating in the back of the lounge.

Amenities

This Sky Club® offers free Wi-Fi, restrooms, magazines, and the food and beverages mentioned above.

Overall Impression:

This Delta Sky Club® in Terminal E at ATL is comfortable and a great spot to work or relax. It’s not my favorite at this airport, but it was fine for our layover.

Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: I love the lounges where The Platinum Card® from American Express grants me access. It has had a prominent place in my wallet for many years now. While it does have an annual fee of $695, it provides many travel benefits and will always be my go-to for lounge access (both Delta Sky Clubs® and Centurion Lounges) and booking airfare from the airlines to earn 5x points (up to $500,000 per calendar year). Not in domestic First Class. If you’re flying Delta One internationally you can.
