Hilton is expanding its luxurious Waldorf Astoria brand with a new location in Turks and Caicos coming in 2028. The brand has been seeing some exciting growth lately as last week I wrote about the new property in Osaka and I recently shared the news around the flagship property reopening in New York. Today’s announcement will see the Waldorf Astoria’s first resort and branded residences in Turks and Caicos. It will blend the seclusion of a private island with the brand’s legendary service when it opens in a few years. The brand currently offers 45 properties with a staggering 35 more in the pipeline.

I love that this property will be secluded on Dellis Cay, which is a nearby island that is reachable with a 25-minute boat transfer from Providenciales. The Waldorf Astoria Turks and Caicos Dellis Cay will offer 175 guest rooms and branded residences. This includes 42 rooms, 10 suites, 10 beachfront bungalows, and 65 residential units. The other 48 keys come from the ability to configure the two-bedroom condominiums to create standalone one-bedroom suites and individual guest rooms.

Planned dining options include an all-day restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a beach and pool bar, and the brand’s signature Peacock Alley. Additionally, the resort will offer a 13,455 square foot spa, a 1,600 square foot fitness center, a library retreat, and both adult and family pools.

When we stayed in Turks & Caicos a few years ago, we chose Point Grace Resort & Spa as it was part of SLH and we received Hyatt benefits at the time. The Ritz-Carlton Turks and Caicos was the only other hotel affiliated with the loyalty programs I actively utilize. That’s changing as Marriott opened Salterra on February 15th (it’s part of the Luxury Collection) and IHG announced a trio of hotels last year. Hyatt is also planning to open an Andaz location this year. There will soon be lots of new choices. I like that this property and Salterra are away from the majority of the tourists in Turks and Caicos.

Anthony’s Take: This is exciting news for Hilton loyalists and those looking to get away from the crowds on their Caribbean vacation.
