Last month, I wrote about Fiji Airways planning to add a new destination. It’s becoming a full member of oneworld® soon and after the other announcement that it will be adopting American Airlines’ AAdvantage® loyalty program as its own next year (more here), the city should not surprise anyone. The carrier officially announced it will launch 3x weekly service from Nadi International Airport (NAN) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
Flights will be operated on an Airbus A350-900 with 33 Business Class and 301 Economy Class seats. The schedule will see flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Fiji Airways is based in Nadi International Airport (NAN). It serves 26 destinations in 15 countries and territories including oneworld® hubs in Sydney, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.
Fiji Airways Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Andre Viljoen said:
Introducing a direct service between Fiji and Dallas is a really exciting milestone for Fiji Airways, as we continue to increase Fiji’s connectivity with the United States and beyond offering our guests more travel options.”
Anthony’s Take: I have never been to Fiji. I was headed there a few years back, but a typhoon cancelled my plans. Maybe this will be the route that takes me there.

Exciting news about Fiji Airways’ new Dallas flights! I recently traveled through the Virgin Atlantic Manchester Terminal, and the experience was top-notch. The terminal’s amenities and efficient service made my journey incredibly pleasant. Can’t wait to see how the new routes from Fiji Airways enhance travel options. Thanks for the update!
This is a great route addition, particularly for those who live from the middle of the US to the east. Opens up a new gateway to the south pacific and asia vs having to connect on the west coast.
