The final phase of Delta Air Lines and Los Angeles World Airports $2.3 billion Delta Sky Way at LAX project is complete (18 months ahead of schedule). Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is now directly connected to the Tom Bradley International Terminal. This officially eliminates the need for buses between terminals.
The investment that Delta has made in Los Angeles offers passengers a seamless and sometimes luxurious way to travel. The west headhouse and Delta One® check-in area opened in June. The check-in area offers a private TSA screening lane, direct access to the Delta Sky Club®, light food and beverages while waiting to check-in, and white-glove service from Delta’s Elite Service agents. Self-service kiosks in the lobby make dropping bags and printing boarding passes even easier for all customers.
Delta’s new Terminal 3 is a 1.2-million-square-foot, 27-gate complex. It opened last April and features a centralized check-in lobby, expanded security checkpoint and baggage claim area, as well as a gorgeous Delta Sky Club® (my full review here). Nine additional gates, concessions, and seating areas opened in October 2022.
Scott Santoro, Vice President of Global Sales at Delta, said:
This modern, state-of-the-art facility has been at the center of Delta’s efforts to become the premier airline of Los Angeles, and now, as we as we celebrate this years-long project being finished much earlier than expected, we are better equipped than ever to provide Angelenos and all of our customers traveling through LA with the truly seamless and elevated experience that they deserve.”
Anthony’s Take: Delta has given passengers at LAX a gorgeous facility including one of the largest Sky Clubs®. I can’t wait to fly a Delta One® flight from the airport to try out all of the services offered there.
