Delta Air Lines and airBaltic have received approval for a codeshare agreement with Delta flight numbers applied to 16 European cities and 24 routes. These flights will run from all three of airBaltic’s hubs.

Paxex.Aero is reporting that Delta has requested “that the authorization extend on a blanket basis to any other markets where the US has open-skies authorities.”
Delta released a statement around other potential benefits. It reads:
The two airlines will review opportunities for elite reciprocal loyalty benefits for members traveling with either airline.”
Anthony’s Take: I’ve had some nice flights on airBaltic through Lithuania and Latvia. If future flights can earn miles or present options for redemption, I’m all for it. It looks like codeshare approval took some time as I see articles from 2021 discussing the possibility.
