A dead body was found in the wheel well of a United Airlines Boeing 787-10 after it landed at Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG) yesterday. Flight UA202 had just arrived from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) when the troubling discovery was made.

The Maui Police Department said in a statement:

United Airlines stated that the wheel well is only accessible from the outside of the aircraft. It’s unknown how the deceased person gained access to the wheel well. The identity of the deceased individual as well as details around when they passed away have not yet been released.
the Maui Police Department released the following statement:
The Maui Police Department is currently conducting an active investigation regarding a deceased individual discovered on an incoming flight from the mainland this afternoon. At this time, no further details are available.”
Anthony’s Take: Generally, when bodies are found in wheel wells it’s indicative of a stowaway trying to catch a ride. This usually does not end well as evidenced in this situation.
