I’ve written a lot about CLEAR and find that it’s a good membership to have in your travel toolkit. The service continues to expand with new airports added almost monthly. The latest is Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL). This comes several months after CLEAR added Hawaii’s second busiest airport, Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG).

Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) will be the 58th airport to install CLEAR lanes. CLEAR has saved me tons of time through the years. Having CLEAR ensures that I will get through security quickly and I don’t even need to take out my ID. The program has grown to include over 22 million members.

CLEAR’s launch is expected to create 64 jobs and generate approximately $3.6 million annually for the local area. Combined, CLEAR’s operations at both Hawaiian airports are anticipated to result in the creation of around 100 jobs and contribute $6 million annually.

CLEAR CEO, Caryn Seidman Becker, said:

CLEAR is excited to add Honolulu to its list of airport partners, joining Maui in bringing seamless, reliable travel experiences to passengers across the islands. We look forward to this partnership and the jobs and positive economic impact it will bring to the community.”

Those who opt-in to CLEAR Plus can add up to three family members or friends to their account for $99 each. Family members under 18 years old can use the CLEAR Lanes for free when traveling with CLEAR members.

Anthony’s Take: CLEAR announced in April that Honolulu was coming and now the service is available in Hawaii’s busiest airport. I’m a fan of CLEAR overall and think it’s great that the program keeps expanding.
