In January, I wrote about BermudAir. The airline connects Bermuda and the US with year-round service from five US airports. Now, it’s adding two Canadian destinations: Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ).
Service to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) began last week on March 18th. The latest additions to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) will take flight on May 17th and 25th. Flights to Toronto will operate 3x weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Halifax flights will be 1x weekly on Saturdays.
The new flights are operated with Embraer E175 aircraft with 14 seats in Business Class and 52 in Economy Class. Both cabins receive complimentary food and beverages (inclusive of alcohol). Business Class offers additional booking flexibility, higher checked baggage allowances, and easier changes and cancellations.
With these new additions, Bermudair now serves seven destinations:
- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)
- Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)
- Westchester County Airport (HPN)
Adam Scott, Founder and CEO of BermudAir, said:
There has been strong demand for travel between Bermuda and Canada and we’re proud to continue delivering on our commitment to provide additional connectivity with these new routes. Toronto and Halifax are currently underserved, and this expansion aligns with our mission to provide year-round service, meeting the needs of both Bermudians and travelers from Canada.”
Anthony’s Take: My husband has been bugging me for years to go to Bermuda. With the St. Regis opening in the last few years and all of these flight options, it’s going to be on our shortlist.
