Avelo Airlines is a low-cost carrier that launched in 2021. The airline operates a fleet of modern Boeing 737 aircraft and serves destinations across the United States. Avelo competes with Spirit Airways, Breeze Airways, Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines, and Sun Country Airlines. While its schedules are only published through April 30th, there are multiple routes being cut in early 2024.
The following routes have been cut effective in February and March:
- Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) to/from Colorado Springs Airport (COS)
- Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to/from Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO) to/from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO) to/from Mobile International Airport (BFM)
- Wilmington Airport (ILG) to/from Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB)
- Wilmington Airport (ILG) to/from Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR)
- Wilmington Airport (ILG) to/from Nashville International Airport (BNA)
- Wilmington Airport (ILG) to/from Wilmington International Airport (ILM)
Anthony’s Take: Airlines are constantly adjusting their schedules based on demand. Avelo will likely replace these with some new routes in the near term. We’ll have to wait and see if the airports above lose service altogether.

spreading misinformation hm? Avelo isnt cutting flights to mobile my cousin works there and hasnt heard anything and no news sites or the airport themself have said anything
This comment will not age well.
LOL
March 4th is the last day showing as bookable. Maybe the route will come back when the schedule updates beyond April. As I said, “If the flights from Colorado Springs Airport (COS) and Mobile International Airport (BFM) do not return in the future then these airports will no longer be served by Avelo Airlines.”
anthony march 4 has been the last day FOR MONTHS NOW!!!!! It was always the plan to stop mobile that day for MONTHS. why write about something that is months old?? you made many people freak out thinking their tickets was cancelled!!
As long as they keep flying New Haven to Chicago
Hate to break it to you. But according to FlightConnections.com the last scheduled flight from MDW-HVN (or vice versa) is Saturday, January 6th. There are no other scheduled flights on that route for the remainder of 2024.
Avelo needs to come to Long Beach. Slots will becoming available!
Avelo has conned the City of Lakeland into a 15 year “deal” to provide service there just a couple of weeks ago. What a joke on the city. They did not even reveal what routes would be available and the city bought it sight unseen.
I was super excited to see a direct flight from Colorado Springs to Burbank. I would definality travel back to visit family and friends at least 3 times a year, for the convenience and afforadability. Its only been once a year because it only makes sense to fly out of Denver or just drive.
