I flew on Air Canada Rouge from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Tampa International Airport (TPA) today and got to sample another one of the Canadian airline’s breakfast offerings. No official menu or name was provided. I had pre-ordered something else, but the flight attendant did not have any of the orders so French Toast it is. The dish was very similar to the Golden Brown Apple Pancakes I tried last year (review here) with bread substituted for the pancakes.

I started the meal with half cranberry juice and half club soda.

The tray came with fresh fruit, a bread roll, and a yogurt. The French Toast was rather blah, but tasted better with the apple compote (the same one served with the pancakes last year) and some maple syrup.

Anthony’s Take: I’m so used to dining on Delta, American, and United flights that it’s exciting when I get to try out other airlines. I thought this meal was okay. It served as something to eat, but I would not go out of my way for it.
